People vote with their feet and a recent Gallup poll suggests that vote is against Democrats.
The poll measured the percentage of people who would move elsewhere if given the chance. The top 10 were:
- Rhode Island
- New Jersey
- New York
Notice a pattern? Seven of the top eight states people want to relocate from are blue. Nevada is a purple state, as it has voted twice for the Democrat and twice for the Republican in the last four presidential elections.
About half of Illinois, Connecticut and Maryland residents want to jump ship. Work/business-related was the top reason cited in each case (tied with family/friends in Maryland). This suggests liberal economic policies aren’t working out for the masses in those states.
Meanwhile, Louisiana and Mississippi are the only red states that made the top 10 and they’re at the bottom of the list.
The poll also noted the states Americans are least interested in leaving. The top 10 were:
- New Hampshire
- South Dakota
This is a more evenly-divided bunch. Hawaii, Maine, Minnesota and Oregon are blue while New Hampshire also leans to the left. Colorado is purple. The remaining four, including the state residents are least likely to leave, Montana, are red.
Of course, these are just a bunch of rubes who don’t know the intelligentsia should dictate their lives. They’re just too ignorant to know that staying in their current location is the best option for them, right?
