You may remember from your history classes a situation in America years ago where a large number of the homeless ended up living in tents outside of major metropolitan areas. These tented cities drew the moniker of ‘Hoovervilles,’ which the Democratic Party used to smear the current Republican president and the rest of his party.
Guess what? Due to the ongoing uneven economic recovery that Obama has been presiding over, the number of homeless people is once again on the rise. In fact, it has even been noticed that there are now a number of tented encampments once again as the homeless band together for comfort and support during these challenging economic times.
These shanty towns are now being dubbed as ‘ObamaVilles’ in honor of our wonderfully amazing community organizer in chief. Just as back then, we are seeing many of the same useless economic policies such as the Federal Reserve Bank abusing its power and dramatically expanding the money supply. Of course, nearly everything Obama has done from his bailouts to the implementation of ObamaCare has had devastating effects on the economy. This has all led to more and more economic collapse and desperation among the growing number of homeless.
According to the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty, “There have been increasing reports of homeless encampments emerging in communities across the country, primarily in urban areas and spanning states as diverse as Hawaii, Alaska, California, and Connecticut.” Yes, folks, Obama certainly deserves the blame for this. Despite him all his liberal allies constantly telling us just how well the so-called ‘recovery’ is going, things are very different on the ground.
Of course, as this grows more and more prevalent and a number of people start seeing these shanty towns rising up, it is likely that Obama and the liberals will want to dub them with a different name. Who knows, they might even try to blame the whole thing on Bush. After all, Obama has done amazing things for the economy…so the fact that people have lost jobs and their homes certainly can’t be blamed on him! Why that would be just simply unfair!
Never mind the fact that when Republican Herbert Hoover was in charge, it was entirely his fault. You see, very little really ever changes when it comes to politics and political strategy. We will see the Democrats hem and haw and try to spin this in many different ways. They can’t be held responsible. They will try to blame Bush and maybe even see that this level of economic pain was needed in order to purge or ‘purify’ the economy from the evil Bush-era policies of excess.
What do YOU think about all this? Will these tented communities earn the nickname of ObamaVilles? Or will the spin of the Democrats end up being successful? Can we bet on seeing the level of homeless continue to increase due to the Obama-era economic policies?
