Last week, Obama delivered one of many yawn-worthy farewell speeches. This one was to our military saying:
There has been no greater privilege, and no greater honor, than serving as Commander-in-Chief of the greatest military in the history of the world.
I’m a better man having worked with you.
Hopefully, he learned a lot from them because he came into office with no more experience than being a junior Senator and community organizer. He tried to use his words to salvage the bridges he’s burned with our military. Sorry, too late. A now poll shows that over half of our military holds a negative view of Obama. This is from AOL:
President Barack Obama will leave office on Jan. 20 with negative reviews from most members of the U.S. military.
More than half the troops in a new poll had an unfavorable opinion of Obama’s leadership of the military for the past eight years, and about 36 percent said they approved of his performance as commander in chief, according to the latest survey by the Military Times and the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University.
Nearly 49 percent of service members who voted in the November election cast their ballots for Republican Donald Trump, who was very critical of Obama, while 29 percent voted for Democrat Hillary Clinton, who was Obama’s secretary of state.
You don’t say. Hardly surprising given the way he’s treated our military, and our foreign policy. His entire eight years, he’s catered to our enemies, to dictators all while screwing over some of our major allies including Israel and the U.K.
Obama left our military understaffed and less safe by withdrawing troops from Iraq, in addition to his perilous decisions in Afghanistan. It’s no wonder many seats were empty during his farewell speech.
He’s still saying goodbye while everyone else has been counting down to his exit for years. His hollow speeches do nothing. This video shows the difference between Marines meeting and greeting President George W. Bush, and then doing the same with President Obama.
Obama treated our military like trash, only there to do his bidding. What did he expect?
