The Democrats searched near and far for ways to steal the election from President-elect Trump. And, in every effort, every protest, every whine, every rant–they LOST. Their last attempt was to try to convince electors to defect from Trump–which, was a comedy in and of itself.
Equally as funny as the recount effort in heavily Democratic Detroit, MI, which exposed voter fraud and also gained votes for Trump in WI. And, as Democrats were warning they had at least 20 defectors, it turns out that more Democrats defected than Republicans. It seems that Democrats have crossed the point of no return; they’re so used to lying, they have no grasp of reality. That probably explains the epic rants.
Days before the Electoral College vote, the headlines were focused on whether or not there would be enough electors to defect. In addition, there were reports of last-ditch lobbying efforts to get electors to switch from Clinton to Trump. Yet, it was the Democratic electors who were more prone to defecting. Although Hillary won Washington in November, only eight out of 12 Democratic electors cast their votes for her.
As a form of symbolic protest, three Democratic electors voted for Colin Powell and one voted for Faith Spotted Eagle. Moreover, reports surfaced that two electors–one in Maine and another in Minnesota–tried to vote for someone other than Clinton. In Minnesota, elector Muhammad Abdurrahman didn’t vote for Clinton and was replaced by an alternate who did.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Abdurrahman was a delegate for Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention. In Maine, elector David Bright also tried to vote for Sanders but was not allowed and had to vote for Clinton.
It would be wise for the Democrats to stop putting themselves through endless bouts of humiliation. But, then again, Democrats aren’t known for their wisdom.
