A Delta flight had only been in the air for 20 minutes when it had to be diverted back to Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport Wednesday after an unruly couple allegedly began fighting with the crew. Blake Adam Fleisig, 35, and Anna Christine Koosmann, 36, were both arrested when the plane returned.
Some of the chaos was caught on tape too. This is from the Daily News:
Wednesday night’s 6:20 p.m. trip from Minneapolis to Los Angeles quickly returned to the Twin Cities after the airline said that the pair “refused to follow crew instructions, became aggressive and created a disruption.”
Both Blake Adam Fleisig and Anna Christine Koosmann were arrested and face disorderly conduct charges.
A passenger on the flight told KMSP that the disruption started after Koosmann got up to use the bathroom shortly after the plane took off, and did not listen to crew members telling her to go back to her seat.
As police escorted the couple off of the plane, some of the passengers started cheering. That is when Fleisig actually tried to attack a passenger.
The Daily Mail reported that Fleisig is the Vice President of Internal Audit Treasury Finance at Citi Bank.
