CNN, political commentator, and Democratic strategist Symone Sanders made a lot of news earlier this week when she said the attack by 4 young black teenagers on a mentally handicapped white man was not a hate crime.
Sanders is now backtracking saying she didn’t have all the info.
“Symone, I know when you first saw this yesterday on camera, I think you said it was certainly sickening. You weren’t sure if it constituted hate crime. Do you still think that now that prosecutors — the police are actually charging that.”
“I think it is dangerous for folks that aren’t legal experts like myself, in fact, to have this really in depth conversation about the legality of something because I think it waters it — waters it down and kinda takes away from the disgusting, the sickening acts that happened.”
I think it’s dangerous for people like her to try and make excuses for people that commit such terrible acts. She literally tried to blame Trump, that’s the dangerous part.
