Now that it turns out Al Gore and his climate-cook buddies are wrong, don’t expect many mea culpas.
Predictions by Gore that Arctic Ice would disappear by 2013 have turned out to be completely, spectacularly wrong.
Back in 2007, accepting his Nobel Prize, Gore made a speech he called “Earth Has A Fever,” where he predicted the Arctic ice in the summer could “completely disappear” by 2013 as a direct result of man-made carbon emissions.
Not only was that estimate off, it was way off. NASA Photos have shown the polar ice sheet has increased by 60 percent in only the last year. The thick sheet of ice, stretching from Russia to Canada is hindering the “Northwest Passage,” which experts said could introduce a cheaper, easier and faster route around the world.
Much of Gore’s estimates from Environmental Scientist Wieslaw Maslowski who, after it turned out that his 2007 estimate might be wrong, came out in 2011 and predicted summer Arctic sea ice would disappear by 2016, “with a margin of error of plus of minus three years.”
This is one of a long list of climate change predictions by the environmental left that have turned out to be bogus.
Environmentalists have had to change their predictions of catastrophic climate shift recently, effectively reducing the potential warming from about 3 degrees over the next several decades to about one and one half degrees.
