An Ohio man was arrested and charged with “ethnic intimidation” after he pushed a female jogger into oncoming traffic.
Rodney Arnold, 34, of Pleasant Ridge, was also charged with aggravated menacing, assault and carrying a concealed weapon.
Cincinnati.com reports that last month, a woman was jogging on Montgomery Road when Arnold allegedly shoved her into the street, causing her to fall into oncoming traffic.
The woman said the attacker than pulled out a knife, pointed it at her and told her “he hates white people,” according to an affidavit. The jogger was able to flee the scene.
An hour and a half later, Arnold was found by police when they received calls about a man holding a knife. When the encountered Arnold, he admitted possession of the knife.
Two days later, the victim identified Arnold in a photo lineup “without hesitation,” police report.
His bond was set at $90,000.
