Baltimore Prosecutor Marilyn Mosby is out for blood and career glory.
After the grand jury indicted all six officers on a slew of charges related to the death of Freddie Gray, it was clear NEW charges were filed against the officers.
Added to the laundry list of charges, reckless endangerment has been added to the list.
Criminal defense attorney Mark Eiglarsh, however, pointed out that the young prosecutor looking to make a name for herself should not get too cocky yet.
While it may seem like the grand jury has actually validated Mosby and her charges, he said on Fox News, “grand jurors are mere puppets for the prosecutors.”
He added that a grand jury hearing is like a “debate tournament” where only one side gets to speak while the other side – the defense – has to stand outside the room.
Eiglarsh also pointed out that this whole case is nothing more than a political pageant and Mosby is playing queen for the day.
“I don’t believe that those guys should have been prosecuted but for politics,” Eiglarsh concluded, stressing how weak of a case Mosby really has against the Baltimore 6 in the death of Freddie Gray.
