Morning, folks. I feel very tired and frustrated, so my apologies if I sound a bit smug this morning. Anyway. I want to start by sharing this snippet from CNN:
[What began as peaceful protests spiraled into disarray after "TWO CIVILIANS WERE SHOT AND INJURED", Missouri State Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson said. He said those civilians were not shot by police.
"Tonight, a Sunday that started with prayers and messages of unity, peace and justice took a very different turn after dark,” Johnson said early Monday morning.
Some protesters hurled Molotov cocktails at police, and several businesses were vandalized or looted — despite the Brown family’s call for calm.
"Based on these conditions, I had no alternative but to elevate the level of our response,” Johnson said.
Officers fired tear gas into a crowd of hundreds of protesters, including children, who were marching toward a police command post despite an impending midnight curfew.
But protester Lisha Williams challenged the notion that protesters provoked officers.
"That is a lie. It was no fight, it was no shots fired,” Williams told CNN late Sunday night. "All we did was march to the command center to fall to our knees and say, ‘Don’t shoot.’ And they started shooting.”]
Get that? The police elevated their response after two civilians were shot (by what I quite frankly suspect was black-on-violence), but “that is a lie.” It’s all a big conspiracy being perpetrated by “da man” in a bid to bring down certain people.
Meanwhile, we now know that Michael Brown was shot from the front, which not surprisingly debunks his pal Dorian Johnson’s bogus eyewitness testimony. We also know that Mike Brown committed a strong-arm robbery prior to the shooting – something Attorney General Eric Holder tried to hide from us. Furthermore, additional eyewitness testimony adds credence to Officer Darren Wilson’s side of the story – that an abrasive and brazen Mike Brown tried to violently bum-rush him. We also know that the angelic “gentle giant” had marijuana in his bloodstream.
Not that any of this matters. It is obvious as day that the residents of Ferguson have been programmed by both the Obama administration and the Leftist media to believe one single narrative. And it is my fervent belief that no amount of evidence will ever sway them. Instead they want to keep issuing unwarranted blame, as well as also rioting, looting and shooting one another nonstop. Meanwhile, the liberal media is doing everything in its power to hasten Officer Darren Wilson’s potential assassination by the bloody-thirsty mobs in Ferguson.
By the way, I find it fascinating how the usual agitators are downplaying the hell out of the apparently extraneous shootings that occurred in Ferguson last night. And I also find it interesting how so few people care about this:
[Philadelphi[Philadelphia police said Monday they’ve apprehended two suspects in a Friday carjacking that left three children dead and their mother in critical condition.
Jonathon Rosa, 19, and Cornelius Crawford, 22, are both charged with several felonies — including three counts of murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault, sexual assault and more — in a crime spree that began Friday morning.
Police said the duo carjacked a 45-year-old real estate agent at gunpoint and both sexually assaulted her as they drove around the city with her in the backseat of her SUV.
Homicide Captain James Clark said at one point the Toyota 4Runner blew a tire, which caused Crawford to lose control and careen into a street-corner fruit stand, striking and killing 10-year-old Thomas Reed, 7-year-old Terrance Moore and 15-year-old Keiearra Williams. They were all the children of 34-year-old Keisha Williams, who is still in critical condition, according to Giselle Zayon of Temple University Hospital.]uote>

I could go on and on and on and on and on, but none of this matters to the Obama administration, to the Leftist media and to the residents of Ferguson. I’m just glad that this sort of foolhardiness has not yet invaded my town. The day it does, though, you better be sure that I plan to STAND MY GROUND! Not because I am some racist, but because I do not want to be a victim!
Regardless, while I feel for the people of Ferguson, it is obvious to me that . . . well . . . I’ll let Jack Nicholson explain:
Update: Monday, August 18, 7:44 PM
I want to remind everyone that we still don’t know exactly what happened that night. We do know though that the narrative being pushed by the mainstream media is slowly crumbling to pieces. The irony is that according to a Breitbart contributor who spoke on Sean Hannity’s radio program earlier today, many protesters still adamantly believe that Mike Brown was on his knees, begging for his life when Officer Darren Wilson just all of a sudden decided to ‘execute’ him.
Regardless, the point I was trying to make with this post (and which I still stand by) is that I believe the actual truth doesn’t matter to many people – that they will stomp their feet and protest no matter what is uncovered. I believe blogger Matt Walsh said it best:
[Does anyone[Does anyone think the protestors will go home and apologize if the officer is vindicated by the evidence? Will MSNBC retract every reckless conjecture and misleading statement? Will Al Sharpton shout "my bad,” and head home, never again to descend like a despicable vulture whenever news cameras and racial tensions meet? Will the looters return their stolen merchandise? Will the Twitter prognosticators tweet out their mea culpas? Will social media be flooded with humbled and humiliated concessions?
If Christ Himself spoke from the heavens and contradicted the established mainstream narrative, is there any way that any of these things would happen as a result?
No, definitely not. They’d just accuse Jesus of getting His facts from Fox News.]uote>
