Former President Bill Clinton’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, lied her ass off during independent counsel Ken Starr’s investigation into her husband’s illicit activities decades ago, the since-retired attorney reportedly reveals in his just-released memoir, “Contempt: A Memoir of the Clinton Investigation.”
According to The Daily Caller, in his memoir Starr reveals that when he tried to interview Clinton, she answered nearly every question with, “I do not recall.”
“In the space of three hours, she claimed, by our count, over a hundred times that she ‘did not recall’ or ‘did not remember.’ This suggested outright mendacity. To be sure, human memory is notoriously fallible, but her strained performance struck us as preposterous,” Starr reportedly wrote. “What was clear was that Mrs. Clinton couldn’t be bothered to make it appear as if she were telling the truth.”
You don’t friggen say? The shameless, lying hag trotted out the same bullshit replies during the FBI’s botched investigation into her unethical use of a private email address on an unprotected personal server to transmit classified State Department correspondence.
The brazen reprobate lied so much that even The Washington Post took note: “In the three hours-plus that Hillary Clinton spoke with FBI investigators about her private email server on July 2, she cited more than three-dozen things that she could not recall.”
Starr reportedly also reveals in his memoir that he’d considered filing perjury charges against her.
“I was upset over Mrs. Clinton’s performance, and was even considering bringing the matter before the Washington grand jury for possible indictment on perjury,” he wrote, reportedly adding that he ultimately refrained from doing so due to the difficulties of proving she’d lied.
Speaking with Fox News host Tucker Carlson this Monday, he provided a bit more clarification.
“You have to be able to prove the case. There are clear differences between what a prosecutor knows and what the prosecutor can prove. … [W]e just did not have the evidence to bring those charges,” he said.
Starr also speaks about the whole Vince Foster case in the clip above, in case you’re interested.
In concluding the section of his book about Clinton, Starr reportedly wrote that it was clear Clinton and her husband had both “knowingly embarked on a continuing course of action that was contemptuous of our revered system of justice.” In other words, he knew they were both dirty, filthy liars. And wouldn’t you know it, they still are!
