I like to call him a member of the alt-stupid.

House Speaker Paul Ryan is among a cadre of establishment RINOs, cucks and neocons whom I like to call the alt-stupid. And just like all members of the alt-stupid, Ryan seems to have an endless amount of trash to talk about the so-called “alt-right.”
“We have to go back and fight for our ground and re-win these ideas and marginalize these guys the best we can to the corners. Do everything you can to defeat it,” he said during a conversation Thursday with Jonah Goldberg of National Review.
He added that conservatives must “fight back” against the identity politics being promoted by the alt-right and white nationalists, according to Politico.
“That is not conservatism. That is racism. That is nationalism. That is not what we believe in. That is not the founding vision, that is not the founders’ creed,” he said.
Quick question … When the hell was the last time a member of the so-called “alt-right” or a white nationalist assaulted or harassed someone?
Look, here are my problems with his rhetoric:
First, the “alt-right” is an umbrella term used by left-wing radicals to smear all conservatives, including members of the alt-stupid. In fact, a Slate columnist argued last year that Goldberg’s own National Review “helped build the alt-right.” And earlier this year I swear to God I heard black radio show host D.L. Hughley call National Review a part of the “alt-right.”
So by talking smack about the so-called “alt-right,” Ryan is effectively buying into left-wing rhetoric and, worse, insulting his fellow conservatives. Congratulations, you moron.
Second, who the hell cares about white nationalists? Do you see any white nationalists when you go to work, go to the grocery store, go to the gym? They represent a minority of a minority and have no substantive influence on current events.
Third, is Ryan blind or just dumb? I ask because I rarely ever hear him say anything about the LEFT’s identity politics, the LEFT’s racism and the LEFT’s insanity.
He said nothing when a left-wing Latino bully assaulted a teenager at a restaurant in Florida over his “Make America Great Again” hat earlier this month. He said nothing when identity politics-obsessed leftists recently bullied a Hollywood actress from withdrawing from an upcoming film. He said nothing when leftist radicals forced Hollywood actor and director Mark Duplass into deleting a tweet that had encouraged his followers to reach across the aisle and learn more about Jewish conservative commentator Ben Shapiro.
Like many members of the alt-stupid, Ryan seems predominantly focused on castigating the mythical alt-right versus calling out the very real and increasingly dangerous left. And I don’t know about ya’ll, but I personally find this habit of the alt-stupid to be inordinately annoying!
